All about MSV Parks and Recreation

The Parks and Recreation Department of Miami Shores Village offers a wide range of programs and services for both Village residents and neighboring communities. The Department is comprised of four key divisions: Community Center, Athletics, Aquatics, and Tennis. We are committed to delivering quality customer service, diverse programs, and a safe, enjoyable environment for all ages.

MSV Parks and Recreation Divisions:

Community Center Division

Offers over 40 weekly recreation classes, including gymnastics, karate, ballet, belly dance, senior fitness, and more.

Aquatics Division

Features an 8-lane, year-round competition pool, as well as a seasonal aquatic playground with five slides and interactive features.

Athletics Division

Hosts five intramural sports year-round—soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, and flag football—as well as youth travel sports, after-school care, and summer camps..

Tennis Division

Provides group clinics, private lessons, and open play for both tennis and pickleball.

Our parks.

  • Athletic Fields

    Flexible greenspace, 3 soccer fields, 2 baseball/softball fields, batting cage, and sand volleyball pit.

  • Aquatics Center

    The Aquatics Center includes an 8-lane competition pool, an aquatic playground consisting of five slides and a 250-gallon interactive water bucket.

  • Bayfront Park

    Bayfront Park offers visitors views of the pay, walking paths, water fountains, and several seating areas.

  • C. Lawton McCall Community Center

    The Community Center host a variety of youth, adult and senior recreational programs including basketball, pickleball, racquetball, and various camps and drop-in programs.

  • Constitution Park

    Constitution Park is a linear greenspace adjacent to the Athletic Fields and Tot Lot which offers flexible lawn spaces, fitness areas, and public art.

  • Dog Park

    The Dog Park provides visitors with two separate play areas for small and large dogs, each including a bridge and fire hydrants. There are also water fountains and shaded seating areas for the two-legged visitors.

  • Field House

    The Field House is home to year-round athletics programs and camps, as well as the Miami Shores Youth After School Care program.

  • Memorial Park

    A serene tribute to history, featuring a 9/11 Memorial, a fountain, and an Armed Services Monument honoring local WWII residents. Shaded areas and benches invite visitors to relax and reflect.

  • Optimist Park

    Optimist Park is a beautiful urban greenspace that provides visitors with various seating areas and flexible greenspace set in the shade beneath a mature tree canopy.

  • Tennis Center

    The Miami Shores Tennis Center offers open play for tennis and pickleball, instructional programs, clinics, and an after-school tennis program for all ages

  • Tot Lot Park

    A short walk from the Community Center and Athletic Fields, Miami Shores Tot Lot Park offers shaded play areas, a children’s activity playground, a covered pavilion, water fountains, and bathroom facilities.
